We are looking to recruit a Trainee Payroll Administrator to join our clients friendly team based at their Head Office in Gloucester. You will play an active role in delivering payroll services to multiple departments processing a high-volume payroll.

The individual must be computer literate and proficient in the use of Microsoft packages. You will demonstrate a willingness to learn, an attention to detail and comfortable working with numbers.

**As a Payroll Administrator, your responsibilities and duties will include**:

- Process end to end payroll for many employees.
- Checking the hours Team members have worked
- Resolving issues Team members have with timesheets, payslips and other payroll matters
- Processing P45s and statutory payments SMP, SPP, SSP and SPL
- To meet tight deadlines regarding cut off dates
- Oversee payroll data to ensure this is correct before submitting.
- To liaise closely with other parts of the business as appropriate

**Must have**:

- Effective communication, numeracy and I.T. skills
- Some payroll experience would be useful
- High level of Excel knowledge
- High level of accuracy is essential
- Strong communication skills

**Who would succeed in this role?**

We’re looking for you to be highly organised and have great attention to detail. With payroll and benefits being such a critical part of a company’s activities, we need you to be comfortable handling sensitive information and ensuring all processes are followed. You’ll also be outward-facing, so good communication and interpersonal skills are helpful.

**Salary**: £25,000.00-£27,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

Work Location: One location
