This is an outstanding opportunity for a Lecturer in Robotics at the University of Sheffield, a world top 100 University. Working in the Department of Computer Science, you will also join our internationally recognised Sheffield Robotics institute. This new role is supported with a generous startup package, including funding for conference travel and equipment, and a PhD scholarship (paying UK fees and stipend for 3.5 years).

- Human-robot interaction;
- AI and machine learning for robot perception, cognition or communication;
- Responsible and trustworthy robotics.

You will conduct research to the highest standards. This will include securing research funding, publishing in high impact journals, supervision of research students and research project management.

You will hold a PhD in Computer Science or a related discipline with a significant emphasis on computational methods. As a teacher, you will play a key role in maintaining our reputation for high-quality teaching by designing, delivering and assessing undergraduate and postgraduate level courses in robotics, machine learning, computational modelling of complex systems, and other topics in computer science.
