**About The Role**:
Recipharm are seeking a Microbiologist to join our Quality Operations team at our Holmes Chapel site in Cheshire on a permanent basis. The Microbiology team are responsible for the testing and release of the non-sterile products developed and manufactured at RHC along with maintaining the cleanroom facilities and utilities to appropriate GMP quality expectations. This position will be working on a day’s pattern and offers a competitive salary between £25,000 and £30,000 per year dependant on experience and includes fantastic benefits such as a discretionary annual bonus, 25 days leave plus bank holidays and a holiday buy / sell scheme, 10% company pension contribution, onsite parking and medical + dental insurance.

As a Microbiologist you may be responsible for activities including testing and reporting of data, laboratory investigations and improvement activities to enable running of the microbiology laboratory, compliant cleanroom maintenance and on time delivery of product to the customer whilst adhering to c-GMP standards.

Recipharm, Holmes Chapel specialises in the manufacture of inhalation products such as Metered Dose Inhalers (MDI), Dry Powder Inhalers (DPI) and Nasal Sprays and focusing on the transition to greener propellants. **As a Microbiologist your duties may include**:

- Testing of finished products, raw materials and componentry items
- Testing and reporting of cleanroom facility monitoring
- Testing and reporting of water samples
- Supporting laboratory activities that may include microbial media preparation and microbial identification
- Supporting senior/specialist microbiologist in method development and project activities

**Microbiologist skills and experience**:

- Computer-literate
- Competence and clarity in both written and oral communication.
- A science degree / HND/ NVQ 4 or equivalent with ideally, an understanding of compliance management and experience working in a GMP environment
