Vacancy - Warehouse Assistant

Industry - Electrical Product sales

Location - Central London, near Victoria

Working hours - Monday to Friday 7.30am to 5.00pm

Salary - £25,000 to £30,000 per annum depending on experience + bonuses

We are looking for a professional Warehouse person for a well established business in the Victoria, SW London area.

The company pride themselves in delivering a first class Customer Service and delivering great products to their customers.

All staff play a vital role working together as a team to accurately provide products with an excellent timely service with profitability as a key target.

We are looking for a hard working, self-motivated and enthusiastic Warehouse Assistant.

You will ideally have some warehouse experience in a similar environment but the most important thing is a great attitude whilst wanting to learn and progress.

You will join a small but busy team of staff within the business.

Responsibilities will include:
Sorting and placing materials or items on to racks, and shelves.

Collecting items from throughout the warehouse, preparing and completing warehouse orders for delivery or pickup

Performing warehouse inventory controls.

Receive deliveries of goods and supplies.

Check for damaged or missing items.

Store goods.

Pick Pack orders and help load vans.

Organize stocks and maintain inventory.

Examine ingoing and outgoing shipments.

Organize warehouse space.

Receive, unload and place incoming inventory items appropriately.

Stock checking and redistribution.

Picking Stock from and replenishing shelves.

Packing products for dispatch.

Responsible for working through orders independently or working as part of a team.

Ensuring that all goods that are loaded or unloaded match the relevant paperwork.

Storing and rotating stock

Reporting any damaged or missing goods to the supplier

Keeping the warehouse environment clean and tidy and maintaining equipment

Following workplace health and safety rules when handling goods

Treating merchandise with care and concern at all times

Other duties as required

You could also be serving customers at the trade counter although this part of the role is not essential - however this ability would attract the higher end of the salary bracket

Job Requirements:
Be physically fit and able to lift heavy loads on occasion

Good communication skills along with the ability to deal with customers

A good understanding of the importance of accuracy

Be organised and able to keep the warehouse in a clean and tidy situation

A professional outlook and a desire to contribute to the team

Additional training and certification will be provided as part of your career development.
