- To carry out and assist with basic Cardiology diagnostic tests:

- to perform electrocardiograms in outpatient clinics.
- to perform electrocardiograms on GP patients, and make a decision regarding clinical urgency of the report with mínimal supervision.
- to issue and explain operation of cardiac event monitoring equipment.
- to assist with departmental administration.
- to assist cardiac physiologists with other investigations, including echocardiograph
