**Join our Team as a Cover Supervisor at M2 Education**

Are you an aspiring educator looking to enhance your classroom management skills? Are you experienced in working with secondary school students? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join a well-regarded 11-18 secondary school in the beautiful Durham area as a Cover Supervisor.

**Position: Cover Supervisor** **Contract: Full-time, Monday to Friday** **Start Date: September 2023 (with potential for a permanent role)**

As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in maintaining continuity of learning in the absence of regular classroom teachers. You will oversee classroom activities, manage student behaviour, and ensure a positive and engaging learning environment. This position could be an excellent fit for an Early Career Teacher (ECT) looking to develop their classroom management skills.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Deliver pre-planned lessons and manage classroom activities in the absence of regular teachers.
- Engage students in productive learning by promoting a positive and inclusive atmosphere.
- Manage student behaviour and enforce school policies to maintain a safe and respectful learning environment.
- Support students in their learning, providing guidance and assistance as needed.
- Foster positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents/guardians.
- Collaborate with teaching staff to ensure the effective delivery of curriculum content.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience working within a similar setting, preferably in a secondary school environment.
- Possess an enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) certificate on the update service. If you do not have an enhanced DBS certificate on the update service, we are happy to assist you in obtaining a new one.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and build rapport with students.
- Confidence and assertiveness in managing classroom behavior and ensuring a focused learning environment.
- Enthusiasm for education and a commitment to supporting students' academic and personal development.
