**About the role**
As our Graphic Designer you’ll manage, shape and deliver the graphic design output of the organisation. You will act as a brand guardian ensuring everything produced is in line with the brand toolkit and developed alongside the needs of the organisation.
You’ll work alongside our designer and be part of the Audience Team. You will also work closely with all colleagues across the organisation to problem solve, concept, present and create a variety of design solutions.
**What will you do in this role?**
**Role specific responsibilities**:
- Oversee, in collaboration with our other designer a range of graphic design projects, from conception to delivery. This includes sourcing quotes and commissioning external suppliers where appropriate, such as printers and photographers.
- Work with the marketing team and wider organisation to support the output of graphic materials. Formulate and discuss briefs, offering innovative creative solutions. Liaise with necessary teams to ensure the graphic aspects of the project satisfy the brief.
- Ensure all materials, online graphics, branded merchandise, motion graphics, interpretation, internal/external signage are produced on time, to budget and meet audience needs.
- Ensure all materials follow access, inclusivity and sustainability guidelines.
- Manage the print production process and print collateral. Ensure work meets brief spec and has received relevant sign off. Approve artwork proofs and oversee deliveries. Co-ordinate the installation of graphics on-site.
- Proactively undertake creative research to inform projects. Horizon scan and keep up to date with relevant trends and practices.
- Take part in regular collaboration and updates with our other designer to ensure cohesion and consistency within the marketing team and wider organisation.

- Promote charity messaging across your area of work wherever possible, with support from the Development and Marketing teams.
- General responsibility for departmental compliance with GDPR.
- Support the rest of the organisation with projects when required.
**What we're looking for from you**
- Professional experience as a Graphic Designer whether in-house/agency/freelance.
- Fluent in Adobe Creative Suite with strong illustrative skills.
- Demonstrable experience in a wide variety of print design and print processes, outputting artwork to a high standard.
- Experience of managing third-party relationships (external suppliers and clients). This includes presenting ideas and concepts and using appropriate negotiating skills to provide mutually beneficial solutions.
- Experience of working within brand guidelines.
- Experience of digital design, current technologies and best practice.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and prioritise workload within an ongoing, ever-changing and progressive environment.
- Ability to present new ideas and concepts and explaining rationale behind graphic design decisions and recommendations.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills - visual and technical.
- Good awareness of design trends and creative thinking.
