We are looking for a **HSE Advisor** to join us at our brand-new B&Q site in Blyth - S81 8PU. You’ll take responsibility for all thing’s health and safety at site and help push our road to zero campaign. We’re looking for someone to championand promote occupational health, safety and environmental awareness throughout the site, whilst always leading from the front. Are you ready for the challenge?

You will join us on a full time, permanent basis, working 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday.

You’ll be paid a salary of up to **£35,000** per annum. **What you’ll do on a typical day**:

- Work with the operational departments in the creation and reviewing of risk assessments and associated documentation
- Compile data, statistics and compliance reports to identify site trends as required
- Liaise with site HSE representatives to ensure the design and running of 'Road to Zero’ site Health & Safety campaigns are engaging at all levels and fun
- Advise and assist where required with all on-going Investigations into all accidents, incidents and near misses, identifying root causes and ensuring all actions are completed in the sites agreed SLA timings

**What you need to succeed at GXO**:

- NEBOSH General Certificate or working towards, with a strong working knowledge of H&S
- Experience working at a similar level within a transport or warehousing environment
- Experience of assisting with production of risk assessments and associated documents
- Confidence engaging with colleagues at all levels, as well as the ability to build strong working relationships with senior management and customers alike
- A passion for people and proactive thinking is must for the role as well as the ability to analyse trends, get hands on with risk assessments and safety practices.
