Role: Financial Controller / Head of Finance
Location: Tiverton/Hybrid
**Salary**: £60-70k
**Responsibilities**:
- Managing all finance and accounting operations.
- Managing a team of up to 4 people.
- Liaising with our subsidiaries in China and Germany. Travel to these places may be required once a year.
- Preparing and publishing timely monthly financial statements.
- Managing the month-end and year-end close process.
- Report back to local management and Group management on a monthly basis.
- Liaising with the auditors and managing the audit process.
- Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts.
- Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting.
- Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
- Monitor cash flow.
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
- Preparation and submission of quarterly VAT returns.
- Preparation and submission of monthly payroll and pension.
- Additional controller duties as necessary.
- Ad hoc HR duties.
Requirements and Skills:
- Proven working experience as a Financial Controller, or something similar.
- Access dimensions experience is essential.
- Xero accounting software experience is beneficial, but not essential.
- Sage payroll experience is beneficial, but not essential.
- Excellent accounting software user and administration skills.
- Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process.
- Must be able to use Excel.
