Adecco Technology are currently recruiting an Associate Technical Director for a leading Digital Experience/Product Agency based in London.
This is an exciting opportunity for a Technical Director with a passion for delivering code, emerging and progressive technologies and leading Software Development teams.
Please note the position is predominantly remote with occasional onsite working from the London office. The position is not a hands on technical role however a strong understanding of the technologies below would be required and a previous background in codingadvantageous.
Required
- Strong experience in managing a development team, coaching, and mentoring more junior members of staff
- Expert knowledge of software development best practices, such as SOLID
- Technical/Solution Architecture understanding
- Understanding of modern languages such as C#/.NET Core, JavaScript/Node, Python or Go
- Understanding of modern frontend 'frameworks' such as React/Vue
- Understanding of Microservice architecture
- Experience working with project managers, UX/UI designs, internal, near-shore and off-shore development and QA teams.
- Experience working within agile and waterfall environments
- Familiarity with object-oriented design and design patterns.
- Experience with Azure (IaaS, PaaS including Serverless e.g., Functions)
- Cloud native/Kubernetes experience would be a bonus.
- The ability to estimate technical effort, licensing and hosting costs and clearly communicate them to non-technical users
- The ability to highlight technical risks and communicate potential mitigation strategies to a Project Manager to enable them to make informed decisions.
- Understanding of ISO27001 would be a key advantage
- Expertise with development methodologies such as DDD, BDD and TDD.
Desirable
- Languages such as C#/.NET Core, JavaScript/React, Python or Go
- Enterprise CMS experience such as Contentful, ContentStack, Umbraco, Sitecore, or similar
- Azure, AWS or GCP
- Kubernetes
- Understanding of ISO27001
- Experience working within a digital agency environment would be beneficial
