**Position Purpose**

They will be responsible for preparing and spraying a variety of metal products, whilst following specifications for paint selection based on customer requirements.

**Main Outcomes of the Position**

**Responsibilities**
- Prepare units by sanding and degreasing as required
- Mix paint and other solutions and monitor drying to ensure the desired result is achieved
- Completes finishing with baking, polishing or other materials
- Fill out appropriate progress reports as required
- Adhere to all health and safety procedures
- May paint items by hand where necessary

**Position Requirements**
- A good all-around general education
- Good numeracy and mechanical skills
- Knowledge of industrial paint techniques and how to prepare units for paint
- Experience using industrial paint equipment in a manufacturing environment
- Understanding of numerical and mathematical calculations and data
- Effective time and project management skills
- Adherence to health and safety policies
- Conscientious workmanship
- Right to work in the UK.
- Time served apprenticeship (Desirable)
- Possess an NVQ or CSCS certification (Desirable)
- Experience with stainless steel/aluminum would be advantageous (Desirable)
