An exceptional opportunity has arisen, to join this wholly owned subsidiary of a FTSE 250.

As a Finance Business Partner, my client seeks an individual who is ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified (or equivalent) with demonstrable experience engaging and influencing at the executive level.

The role will be partnering senior leaders in the business as well as members of the executive team ensuring they are receiving financial support in all business decisions and future financial outlook. This is a forward thinking, fast paced business areaoperating within a flexible working environment.

Key experience and attributes are as follows:

- CIMA/ACA/ACCA qualified or equivalent
- 4-5 years business partnering experience, providing cost decision support
- Supporting projects in programme accounting; you understand the difference between opex and capex
- Business case creation - help create business cases and be able to review and approve business cases
- Build relationships and be a trusted adviser but at the same time be an independent challenger
- Ability to provide clear analysis of performance drivers
- Ability to taking ownership of financial issues under their remit
- Engage and influence at executive level
- Experience of implementing change and improving processes

Key accountabilities:

- Finance Business Partner Operational Functional Heads and/or Programme Directors
- Assess the business activities and projects specific to programme/functions
- Work with senior management team in preparation and review of business cases, providing detailed feedback on submission, continuously work towards improving the process
- Provide appropriate level of challenge to senior leaders on cost proposals
- Responsible for budgeting and quarterly forecasting of costs and timing of cash outflows
- Manage and report on key risks, issues and opportunities affecting projects and functions that the role supports
- Prepare and deliver accurate month-end/year-end management reporting for functions and projects which this role supports
- Other ad hoc assignments as necessary
