**Salary**: £37,500 - £56,400 + performance-related bonus + a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing.

**What is the Role?**

We have an exciting opportunity for a Risk Specialist to join the Commercial Operations Team. You will be part of a dynamic team working closely with Risk Managers and other Business Energy Teams, helping maintain a strongly governed approach to managing Credit Risk at an acceptable level in a changing economic environment.

Your key areas of responsibility will be to:

- Establish and maintain leading performance indicators and routine monitoring of customers and TPIs at a portfolio level to help Risk Managers and teams to understand exposure levels and customer credit health, you will carry out routine due diligence checks and carry out regular quality assurance of risk activities.
- Be the main point of escalation for internal and external customers in cases of complex credit decisions, or service failures attributed to risk decisions. You will carry out learning reviews on customer failures to ensure processes are fit for purpose and implement any follow up actions as needed.
- Be principle point of contact for credit insurance and credit agency relationships - managing contract performance and ensuring regular, documented meetings are held.
- Keep up to date with general economic and market conditions to understand impacts on our customer base, use this information to make recommendations to support BE strategies and keep credit risk policy up to date.
- Provide support to ongoing projects including responsibility for monitoring ADR compliance for TPIs, leading on other legal projects and Continuous Improvement activities across Commercial Operations.

**What do I need?**

To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:

- Previous experience of working collaboratively across organisational boundaries, whilst providing leadership on critical commercial activities and taking tough decisions that are right for the business.
- The ability and experience to understand and demonstrate broad understanding of commercial risk.
- Be able to communicate and report concise and accurate summary information.
- Be personable and highly communicative at all levels with the aim of developing strong, sustainable business relationships.
