Working in the live events industry, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced MIG/TIG qualified welder with general fabrication and workshop skills to a fabrication team. As a key member of a highly skilled team, you will be confident in translating engineering drawings through a prototype to complete production items, planning and using the best tools and materials. The position requires a confident self
- starter with a well-rounded knowledge of an array of materials and tools together with safe working practices and processes required to produce a first-class quality product.

If you can sketch and communicate your ideas to technical drawers and work to tight deadlines, then the live events industry is an exciting environment to work in. You will get to support a team who deliver some of the most prestigious events, tours, and festivals.

**Duties**:

- Scheduling and organising all aspects of the metal workshop activity including planning and organising all resources, scheduling, and agreeing delivery timelines.
- For all categories of components work using SOP’s to produce components correct to agreed specifications.
- Managing and leading technical discussions.
- Producing the required prototypes for a fixture or batch of components, ensuring that all the components within the batch comply in all respects with the customer specifications.
- Maintaining a safe, well organised and tidy workspace ensuring that all welding tools, machinery, and other fabrication tools are operated using safe working practices.
- Ensuring that the welding machines are set to the optimum parameters for the required joint configuration.
- Repairing existing fabrication and ensuring it continues to comply with safety regulations.

**Skills & Qualifications**:

- A TIG qualification or equivalent
- Proven experience TIG Welding experience in Aluminum and Stainless / Nickel Alloys
- Proven experience of welded component manufacture.
- Understand, translate, and follow engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of production machinery grinders, presses, lifting equipment and Milling Machinery.
- Strong communication skills.
- IT literate Desirable
- Knowledge of other aspects of fabrication e.g. woodwork

**Salary**: £35,000.00-£43,000.00 per year
