**About the Job**

We're looking for a part-time Retail Assistant to join our friendly and passionate team at our Peter Rabbit & Friends store in Bowness. This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to be part of an experienced and growing team, who is passionate about people & service.

You will be expected to actively engage with all customers and visitors, offering help and advice with their purchase or enquiry,

Key responsibilities:

- Ensuring an excellent standard of customer service is provided at all times and that all customers are aided and supported with any questions and purchases
- Organising and maintaining attractive stock display, stock rotation and replenishment.
- Processing payments, cash handling and cashing up.
- At times you may be asked to stand in as key holder and will be responsible for opening and closing of the store.

**Hours**: Approx 12 hours per week over 2-3 days to include weekends. However, if we believe that you have the skills and personality that would suit our shop well, we would be prepared to negotiate hours so please get in touch.

There may also be the opportunity for extra hours in other branches of Peter Rabbit & Friends, situated throughout the Lake District.

**Person Specification**

You will be friendly, welcoming and have a natural flair for merchandising. You should be comfortable working as part of a small team or individually. Prior experience in handling cash transactions and using a till system would be preferred but training can be given.
