Summary We have an exciting opportunity to support the Liverpool Portfolio with a clear focus on The Beatle’s Childhood Homes. As Welcome & Service Assistant Manager, you'll lead a small team, to welcome our visitors and help them enjoy their tour. Youwill lead and empower your team to respond to customer enquiries and issues and be the face of the National Trust.
The successful applicant will work across weekdays, weekends and bank holidays as required on a full time basis (37.5 hours a week) March to November inclusive. They will use the remaining 162.5 hours of this contract to set up and plan for the team and toursas required on this annualised contract.

What it's like to work here This role is based at Speke Hall is a distinctive black and white Tudor house situated on the banks of the River Mersey. The work will focus on support for The Beatles Childhood Homes Tour, as part of the Liverpool portfolio coveringboth Mendips and 20 Forthlin Road.There will be plenty of opportunities within customer service and the visitor experience for those who would like to make a contribution to the success and development of this unique offer.

SSS What you'll be doing You’ll manage a small team with responsibility for their safety and working practices, working closely with the Welcome Manager and Visitor Experience & Operations Manager to continually develop the offer.
You'll have responsibility for the day to day operation of The Beatles Childhood Homes Tour and ensure the delivery of the highest standards of service and visitor experience, using sound judgement and decision making, in line with National Trust guidelinesand policies.You’ll be using your creativity and communication skills both to inspire and motivate your staff, and to help provide the friendly face of the National Trust to visitors.You'll deal with service recovery without senior support being on site.You'll engage with our visitors, delivering tours as part of your week, and always strive to give the best tour to everyone. Who we're looking for
- Ideally **(though not essential)** practical experience in visitor business, tourist, heritage or relevant visitor services environment
- Naturally curious about people, and with a passion to and experience of delivering the highest standards of customer service
- Organisational skills
- Confident leader, demonstrating through delivery of tours Driving licence essential.
- Professional driving qualification for PCV desirable.
- IT skills (all MS Office).
