We are seeking someone who has experience repairing, maintaining and calibrating Radiation Protection instruments and associated equipment. Experience of the Nuclear industry is highly desirable however other regulated / technical industry backgrounds will also be considered.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- 1. To work safely in accordance with all safety, quality, security, environmental and site instructions and requirements
- 2. Repair, maintain, calibrate and test Radiation Protection Instruments to ensure customer work demands are met
- 3. Work to maintenance instructions and record information accurately
- 4. Conform to local procedures, rules and working practices to ensure compliance with specified regulatory and customer requirements
- 5. Provide technical advice, updates on work progress and other relevant information to customer as required
- 6. Acts as a mentor for other team members as required, including apprentices and new entrants to department to ensure standards and best practices are maintained
- 7. Identify improvements and innovations in service provision to enhance the efficiency and quality of service provision. Timely implementation of agreed improvements

**Essential experience/ Grades/ Skills**:

- Apprenticeship or equivalent training in relevant discipline (e.g. Electronic, Electrical,
Instrumentation, Technology fields)
at a minimum of Grade B
- Knowledge and understanding of conventional and nuclear safety
- Proven experience of servicing electronic instrument systems

**Compensation: £36,370 to £38,926 + Benefits**

**Role Type: Full time/permanent**

**Clearance type: SC security clearance/ BPSS**

**Working hours: 37 hours - 7:30AM to 15:40PM (or 7AM start if participating in credit time scheme)**
