The Internship scheme within Finance at Airbus will provide you with a fantastic start to your career. **What you will be doing**:
In Filton, Bristol, Airbus is responsible for the engineering design and test of wings and landing gears, as well as home to some of our support functions such as Procurement, Accounting, HR and Government Affairs. As a member of the team in Filton, you are able to see wings being designed and parts being tested for manufacture. From design to flight this is an amazing story to be part of

There are 3 intern roles in Filton to be placed in the following teams:
The Government Financial Affairs team - responsible for all financial matters relating to Government, Regional and European Commission funding. As part of a small dynamic team based in Filton you will be responsible for:

- Preparation of cost statements;
- Liaison with auditors for externally funded projects;
- Invoicing to partners reconciliation of General Ledger accounts; review/updating of departmental processes;
- Provide support to assist in the management of contracts;
- In addition, the team provides local financial support to the UK research teams and you will be responsible for preparation of monthly reporting, dealing with customer queries and providing ad-hoc financial support to the finance and operations teams.

Engineering Financial Controlling team - responsible for the financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting of the Engineering function in Filton. You will be responsible for:

- Financial reporting including, preparing reports to look at actual costs incurred in the month.Updating forecast models;
- Liaising with the Finance community and the Business Operations team - key stakeholder management skills;
- Supporting transnational teams across Europe in projects aimed at continuous improvement to make the business more efficient;
- Cost scenarios and Hourly Rate Reporting;
- Engagement in team building activities, assisting in Charity Challenge and helping to organise team events as required.

**Requirements**:

- Studying towards a degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field;
- Enthusiastic, curious and motivated to identify and implement changes;

- Willingness to learn, proactive attitude.
