**Senior Care Assistant**

An outstanding Care home (Top 20 in Wales) specialising in providing
Dementia care to the elderly has an amazing opportunity for a Senior Care
Assistant to join a very successful team of staff.

Hours: Minimum 24 hours/Week, according to rota or 33 Hours/Week

**Key job responsibilities**:

- Meet the required care needs of Service Users according to care plans, including personal care, bathing, toileting, feeding etc ensuring optimum independence, dignity and respect of individuals.
- Responsible for ordering/distributing of prescribed medication to service users.
- Assist in daily activities/helping service users with restricted mobility to move to dinning/communal areas.
- Supervise/develop junior care staff.
- Ensure bedrooms/communal areas/equipment etc are kept clean & tidy.
- Update/keep written records as and when required.

**Key requirements**:

- A minimum of NVQ Level 3 in care or similar.
- Previous work experience in dementia care.
- Good team player, caring and passionate about providing care.
- Good communication/writing skills.
- Good organisational skills.
- Fully COVID - 19 vaccinated

In return the care home will provide great training/development opportunities to work towards NVQ Level 5/Senior Management

**Job Type**: Permanent

**Salary**: £10.90-£11.90 per hour

- Rhyl, LL18 5BA: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- providing care: 2 years (required)
- supervisory: 1 year (required)

- NVQ Level 2 Health & Social Care (required)
