**Learning Mentor Apprentice**:
**Overview**:
The Learning Support Apprentice will be the first point of contact for learners once on programme and is responsible for all related administration, ensuring a meaningful and supportive learning environment for every learner. The Learning Support Apprentice will have responsibility for the pastoral support for all FIRST education activities and projects.

**Role and Responsibilities**:
**Responsibilities**:
**Monday - Friday, 35 hours per week.**
Working with the recruitment team to support the engagement of learners on learning programmes
Manage all aspects of Learner Induction (e.g creating meeting links, checking out venues, preparing learning resources)
Identify learners need and create any support plans necessary
Ensure all learner paperwork relevant to learning programmes is completed and meets Prime Contractor quality processes
Offer Pastoral Support through the learning programmes to all learners. This will include one-to-one and group support
Chase outstanding work ready for assessment
Help identify learner’s next step
Get learners to complete feedback forms to help inform impact reports
Complete social media posts to showcase course as they take place
Complete three, and six-month destination calls to check on learner’s progress and to offer additional support
Other:
Any other requirements needed to fulfil FIRST projects
Undertake relevant training, including Safeguarding and PREVENT
Remain up to date with guidance related to education, training and learning relevant to FIRST programme and offer

**Required Qualifications**:
Maths, English and ICT, GCSE Grade 4-9 or equivalent
**Training**:
Maths and English to Level 2 required, if not already achieved

- research activities
- commercial awareness
- managing challenging situations and taking ownership
- health and safety
Ongoing assessment by the employer and provider - for example meetings with apprentice, employer and learning provider, observations of workplace, gathering evidence
Undertake a self-assessment in the last month of their apprenticeship to enable them to see whether they are confident that they have taken on board all aspects of the occupation. This self-assessment must be submitted to the independent end point assessor as a source of evidence to prepare for independent End Point Assessment which will include a showcase portfolio; a project; an employer reference and a structured interview about their portfolio and project.**Prospects**:
