**Responsibilities for a Housekeeper**:

- To ensure all areas of the nursery, inside and external, are kept clean and tidy at all times
- To assist the room staff to keep their rooms tidy at all times
- To ensure that all the laundry is washed, dried and returned to the appropriate rooms
- To ensure all refuse is collected during the day and suitable items are taken to the recycling area
- Assist room staff with the pots at meal times
- To adhere to all Food Hygiene and Health and safety regulations
- To maintain a high standard of personal hygiene and adhere to uniform requirements of the nursery
- To highlight to the nursery manager and cleaning supervisor any shortfalls in stock and any problems with equipment
- To work with the all staff as part of a team to meet Little Green Rascals quality standards.
- To report immediately any accidents, fire, theft, loss, damage or any other irregularities.
- To communicate and consult with other members of the staff team to ensure the smooth running of the nursery
- To attend any special events at the nursery.
- To attend monthly staff meetings and training courses as required
- To attend regular supervisions with the nursery manager
- The duties above are neither exclusive nor exhaustive and the post holder may be required by the owner or manager to carry out appropriate duties within the context of the job, skills and grade
