Trainee Buyer

**HAYWARD HAWK** is proud to be working a recognised Contractor in their search for a Trainee Buyer to join their Belfast office. This company provide a range of services across design & build construction alongside planned and response maintenance, and due to continuous growth, they now seek an Trainee buyer with a trades background

**The role**:
**The Duties**
- Request, collate and analyse quotations for appropriate materials
- Place orders with suitable suppliers for specified materials ensuring goods are delivered on the required date and purchased at the most competitive rates, and within budget
- Keep a constant check on stock levels
- Produce reports and statistics on spending and saving
- Control and reconcile van stock levels
- Assist in managing vehicle fleet, maintenance and servicing
- Control of calibrations of mechanical plant and equipment
- Day to day stores operations

**The Person**
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
- Ability to demonstrate good team ethos
- Grade C or above in GCSE maths or equivalent
- Excellent communication skills
- Trade experience
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Good knowledge of MS Word and Excel
- Strong numeracy skills with good attention to detail
- Able to adhere to deadlines
- Articulate with clear verbal communication skills
