**Job description**:
Vickerstock are working in partnership with a specialist firm based in Ballymena on the appointment of a Buyer.

**In your new role**:

- Work closely with all other departments to ensure all materials are on site on time
- Sourcing new supplier with a strong focus on cost saving
- Build relationships with key suppliers negotiating contracts, price, lead time and terms of business
- Minimise stock holding and ensure timely controlled delivery of goods and services to departments across the business
- Continually monitor supplier performance, running analysis reports and reporting to head of department

**What you will need to succeed**:

- A minimum of 2 years experience working in a fast paced purchasing department
- Strong IT skills and a good working knowledge of all Microsoft Office packages
