An established client of ours in the hi-tech industry is looking to recruit a Senior Accountant for their UK office. This is a sole role managing the day to day running of finance and reporting to the Senior Director of Finance overseas. Daily accountingrelated to general ledger, payroll, accounts payable, consolidations for a growing software development company.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Manage the general, purchase and sales ledgers for the UK company
- Support payroll process through outsourced vendor
- Compile and analyse financial information from all groups of the organisation
- Liaise with outside auditors for annual audit
- Continue to improve internal financial reporting and accounting systems and procedures
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements from the system using Workday and other financial systems
- Perform official UK reporting and declaration obligations
- Assists in the annual corporate budgeting and monthly forecasting process for the organization

**Key Competencies**
- Knowledge of accounting for foreign exchange transactions and consolidations
- Detail oriented with good reconciliation, analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to administer financial reporting process
- Ability to administer and monitor financial policies and procedures
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community

**Key Qualifications**
- Minimum 3 years of senior experience in a similar role in the UK accounting arena, preferably in the software development or hi-tech industry (advantageous)
- Proven ability to work in a multinational team environment
