The Council is looking to recruit a Permit (NRSWA) inspector to join the Street Works Permit Team within Hull City Council.

The purpose of the role is to inspect and ensure that utility companies and other persons under licence, carry out works on the public highway in accordance with the New Roads and Street works Act 1991, Traffic Management Act 2004 and the Hull City Council Permit Scheme. To actively inspect the works activities in conjunction with the relevant Traffic Management plans and permit requirements.

The role will require you to drive a fleet vehicle daily, update our internal ICT systems by use of a handheld device and take photographic street works evidence in accordance with the council’s data protection policy. The post holder will be required to always wear full PPE (supplied) when on site.
