**What you'll be doing**
- Collaborate with peers and platform lead to set standards for software engineering practices within the team
- Investigate, test and introduce new ways of working and technologies which are appropriate and complimentary to team practice
- Assemble data sets that meet functional and non-functional business requirements
- Build efficient and reliable data pipelines, ingest and transform data sets using SQL and Python within an AWS hosted environment
- Work with Solution Architects to build low code API pipelines within our Integration Platform
- Constantly seek new and creative ways to automate workflows and iterate on systems, driving improvement and efficiency
- Provide logical and physical data design and database modelling
- Work flexibly between green field development, maintaining and updating existing data solutions and redesigning and optimising old code

**What we're looking for in you**
- AWS cloud services: EC2, EMR, RDS, Redshift, Athena, Lambda
- Data pipeline and workflow management tools: Airflow, AWS Glue, Step functions etc
- Hands on experience of building streaming pipelines using Kafka/AWS Kinesis
- Worked with APIs, both calling and retrieving data. Building API flow using low code solutions desirable
- Experience of NoSQL data platforms such as MongoDB
- Have proven experience working in a cloud environment, with AWS being strongly preferred
- Understanding of, and have participated in, Agile delivery. Familiarity with Azure DevOps or similar tool.
- Familiarity with software engineering principles and product delivery
- Knowledge of at least one scripting language i.e. Python
- Strong knowledge and aptitude at building data warehouses in Redshift/Snowflake
