Westwood Engineering are currently looking for an experienced Manual Metal Finisher to join our engineering / fabrication client based in Lytham st Anne **Working a 4 DAY WORKING WEEK** (37 hour week Monday to Thursday.)

As we continue to expand, we are seeking a skilled Manual Metal Finisher to join our team and help us maintain the highest quality standards.

**Responsibilities**:
As a Manual Metal Finisher specializing in stainless steel and mild steel, your primary responsibilities will include:

- Performing manual finishing operations on metal components, including deburring, grinding, polishing, and smoothing.
- Working with stainless steel and mild steel materials to achieve the desired surface finish and texture.
- Reading and interpreting technical specifications and drawings to meet precise finishing requirements.
- Utilising a variety of hand tools and equipment to achieve consistent and high-quality finishes.
- Inspecting finished products to ensure they meet strict quality standards and client expectations.
- Collaborating with the production team to optimize finishing processes and workflows.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area and adhering to safety protocols.

**Qualifications**:

- Proven experience as a manual metal finisher, with expertise in working with stainless steel and mild steel.
- Strong understanding of different finishing techniques, including deburring, grinding, and polishing.
- Proficiency in reading technical specifications, blueprints, and drawings.
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to achieve precise finishing outcomes.
- Skill in using a variety of hand tools and equipment for manual metal finishing.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
- Relevant certifications or training in metal finishing techniques are a plus.
