We have an opportunity for a Shipping Assistant to join our team in Sherborne.

**Overall function and description of the job**:
To assist the person in the role of Shipping Manager in ensuring the smooth running of the Shipping Department.

**Main duties**:
Check availability of fabric against orders from the company IT system reports on a daily basis, and select pieces.

Pass the produced picking lists to the warehouse for the fabric to be packed.

Enter information in company IT systems, instigating the despatch, delivery, advice notes and goods issuing.

Arrange inter-company shipments, invoicing and goods issuing as required, sending test reports where required.

Ensure certificates of conformity are sent with shipments as required.

Deputise as cover for absences at ‘I-point’ when required.

Liaise with Sales, Planning and Production to arrange UK & Export shipments - including picking lists, delivery notes and commercial invoices.

Ensuring goods have relevant documentation including: piece tickets, certificate of conformity, test reports,

Checking & booking in general materials & chemicals

Booking containers on stock, yarn deliveries

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £23,302.00 per year
