Here at UHS they are looking for apprentices to join us in September 2023 in either: 1) Data & analytics; or 2) Information Technology (IT). Their apprenticeship roles are rotational so you'll get exposure across different UHS data & analytics and IT functions.They will be pairing you up with more experienced data analysts and IT specialists so that you're well supported as you move into the working world. They give their people responsibility early on, which means you'll be working on things which supports thedepartment and improves the experience for their patients. This will include working closely with clinical and operational colleagues across their hospitals. You will also gain the experience of communicating and working with stakeholders of all levels.

A typical day
- Start the day on a call with your team figuring out the priorities for the day
- For a data analyst
- Look at yesterday's data, analysing performance to see how we can improve. Present your findings to a director
- Build an amazing new report which gives us brand new insight in our state of the art visualisation tools
- Jump into a meeting with another team to collaborate on an important hospital project
- End the day with a bit of personal development learning a new skill which you can share with the team tomorrow
- For an IT specialist
- Help fix a network problem which is stopping the hospital from functioning
- Work on our cyber security, making sure we have the right protection in place
- Create and test new software, working with clinical leads to make sure it's ready for live use
- Meet with clinical staff to organise new projects; set tasks, manage risks, update timescales, and use your ideas and creativity to get things moving
- Do open heart surgery on a PC, find the problem and fix it for the user
- Install some flashy new IT equipment into a patient clinic
- End the day with a bit of personal development learning a bit more about some new technologies

You must have
- GCSE English & Maths 4-9 (C-A*) or equivalent
