Hotel Porter

Located near to Tavistock on the Devon/Cornwall border. Hotel Endsleigh, owned by Olga Polizzi, is a beautiful Grade I listed country house hotel set in 108 acres of woodland and gardens.

We are looking for a part time front of house Hotel Porter to support the Head Porter, handling a variety of tasks, whilst also delivering a high level of customer service.

The role will also include some night shifts, providing holiday and sickness cover. As a Night Porter your main responsibility is for the security and safety of guests during the night.

Main duties and responsibilities include:

- To be present at the Reception desk or in the front hall to assist guests, colleagues and visitors when requested.
- Ensure collection and delivery of guest luggage in an efficient and timely manner.
- Guide guests to rooms, placing luggage in room assigned by front desk.
- Informing guests of room amenities.
- Deliver messages, packages and flowers to guests' rooms.
- Respond to guest requests and queries providing a knowledgeable, efficient and helpful information service.
- Work through the daily task list, ensuring all duties are completed before the end of shift.
- Provide assistance to the Housekeeping and Restaurant teams.
- Perform any other tasks as and when assigned by the management.
- For the night porter shift you must be comfortable and have the self-motivation to work alone.

The working pattern will be variable, covering other team members’ days off. Shifts will predominantly be from 9am - 6pm. The night shift is 11pm - 7am.

You will be required to be flexible and may be asked to work additional shifts (up to 5 days per week), helping to cover holiday and sickness.

You will also receive a share of the tips find (typically an extra £4,000-£5,000 per year based on full time hours).

Full training will be provided.

Car driver essential.
