Electrical Tech

Our client, a leading manufacturing client based in Newcastle, are looking to recruit an Electrical Technician to join the business on a permanent basis due to business growth.

Hours

Monday - Thursday - 6:30am to 3:00pM/Friday - 6:30am - 12:00pm

Any OT worked over 37 hours per week are paid at premium rates to boost earnings

Average of 15 - 20 hours per month available - Realistic earning of £45k

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assemble electronic/electrical sub assemblies from schematic diagrams, drawings or verbal instructions and following works order instructions to ISO9001 standards
- Wire and solder wiring harness and cable assemblies, transformer assemblies, control consoles, connectors, etc
- Perform limited troubleshooting and testing of assemblies
- Ensures assembly/sub-assembly build times are met to maintain department efficiency target of 100%
- Ensures assembly/sub assembly build times are met for major project schedule
- Complete all necessary documentation according to the requirements, (including timesheets, ECN etc.)
- Carry out job tasks safely using good working practices
- Carry out all assembly work to the required department quality standards

**Skills & Qualifications**:

- A good understanding of electrical/electronic systems essential.
- Technical competence in Low voltage AC/DC panel wiring/looming, High voltage installations,
- Control/Data systems and Fibre Optic handling/termination ( Advantageous)
- Must be able to read and interpret drawings and sketches
