Job Introduction

Landmarc, a world leading provider of facilities services to the military, offers exciting opportunities for talented people to join our team. Landmarc are the dedicated contractor that maintains the Defence Training Estate across the UK, this role will be part of the team Brunswick Training Camp, in Pirbright.

The Team Leader is responsible for managing a team of operatives dedicated to camp/building maintenance at Brunswick Camp, typical tasks conducted by the team include grounds maintenance, cleaning of accommodation blocks, preparing military ranges and training areas for use and access control. As the Team Leader you will be responsible for the delivery and taking the lead for a group of people and/or tasks.

Please note this role is temporary, but does have the potential to go permanent for the right person.

Main Responsibilities

Responsible for co-ordinating your team as their line manager and first point of contact for task allocation, and work checking

Be part of the team and not just a leader. 80% of the role will be working alongside your team

Responsible for maintaining stock level and management of plant and machinery

Responsible for allocation and handover of training area’s

Ensure that the facilities adhere to safe systems of work and that the accommodation and ranges are fit for allocation

Grounds maintenance across the training area

Ability to operate plant and machinery to include ride on mower, strimmer and hedge cutter - training will be provided

Knowledge of Health and Safety

Excellent communicator with people on all levels

Must hold full UK driving licence

Basic IT skills with ability to use databases and Microsoft Office

Work in a diverse multi-tasking team environment

Previous working knowledge of Estate Services and Maintenance

Prepared to undertake further training
