Advice Session Supervisor

We are looking to expand our supervision team, who work closely with the Chief Officer and Quality Manager.

The role covers both of our advice centres - Blackhall Road, Kendal and New Market Street, Ulverston.

You will be responsible for:

- the training and supervision of newly appointed advice volunteers to ensure training is completed and the voluteer meets national advice competence
- the development of the core advice team of staff and voluteers to deliver a high quality, confidential, independent and impartial advice service

You will:

- be a trained Advice Session Supervisor or knowledgeable generalist adviser/caseworker holding a Generalist Advice Certificate
- be willing to complete Supervisor training

We will also consider applicants who have experience of working in the advice sector and in addition have experience of managing volunteers.

You will have:

- excellent communication skills
- a flexible approach
- interested in problem solving
- experience of working and enjoy working as part of a lively and busy team
- the ability to work both independently and as part of a team to manage a busy workload
- experience in supervising volunteers but this is not essential
- the ability to manage and motivate volunteers, including assisting with their development
- the ability to ensure best use of IT systems and packages in the provision of advice services

**Salary**: From £26,000.00 per year
