**LEAD LOADER**
**Expectation**
1. Be a good communicator
- with customers, depots, management, driver, other loaders etc.
2. Expect long days sometimes and be ready to work some Saturdays.
3. Keep the van clean, tidy, packaging replenished. A tidy ship.
4. Gain 5* reviews and recommendations.
5. Work with all parties to achieve the smoothest day possible and improve efficiencies.
**Customers**
- Read driver and loader notes and check packaging requirements1st thing, or the day before, so you have time to act on it.
- Phone customer ahead and give ETA, ask about parking.
- Greet customers and set up the job.
- Report any damage immediately to customers.
- Mention the referral programme at the end of the job, once they are relaxed and happy.
- Spend 5 mins doing some local leafleting
- 9 leaflets, 5 in front and 2 either side if in a street.
- If all goes well on job, send SMS and aim to get a REVIEW.
**POD Loading**
- Working with other loader or driver, ensure the pod is loaded safely, items protected and fixed securely.
- Take photographs of any mess prior to the job (e.g. hallway carpet) and any damage caused.
- Take photographs of pod sticker and send to Operations Manager.
- Take responsibility for the driver tablet and admin
- ensure any extras are explained. If tablet is not functioning, report to management.
**Presentation, Protection& Safety**
- Ensure official uniform and safety shoes are worn.
- Smoking or vaping around or in the van is not allowed.
- Set up the job
- clear gangways, remove hazards and obstacles.
- Protect any carpets, stairs, front door etc with protective sheeting, blankets, door protector.
- Ensure all van doors are secured
- as per Golden Rules.
- Oversee safety of any junior loaders.
**Job Type**: Part-time
**Salary**: £10.00-£12.00 per hour
