**Job Location**:near Weymouth, Dorset

**Job Type**:Permanent

**Salary**:Starting salary £15.00 - £16.00 per hour (depending on level of experience). Lots of overtime available at excellent rates of £22.50 - £24.00 per hour.

**Hours**:42.5 hours per week, 8am - 5pm Monday to Friday (flexibility required due to nature of the business)

A leading specialist Engineering company who has a great reputation in the industry for not only their experience but also that no job is too difficult for them to undertake is seeking to add an experienced Engineer to their team.

Operating out of a large workshop near Weymouth, they look after clients all around the area and are seeking to expand their team by recruiting an additional Welder Fabricator who can offer; experience and fixable solutions to their client’s problems.

There may be a requirement for the applicant to occasionally work away and/or stay overnight which you will be fully looked for with pay and acomodation.

**Some of your duties will include**:

- Undertaking Welding and fabrication for the servicing, repair and constructing new or replacement structures, parts and equipment.
- Fabricate and assemble metal structures and equipment using welders, cutters, shapers and measuring tools
- Be able to weld to high standard in MIG & MMA
- Operating and using various hand and power tools

**Desirable Skills / Experience**:

- Previous experience of working in a heavy engineering / fabrication environment
- You will need to have high standards of welding / fabrication experience in MIG and MMA with ability to read fabrication drawings and follow detailed specifications instructions
- The ability to work to deadlines
- Able to undertake overtime as required
- Formal Welding or Fabrication qualifications is an advantage but not essential
- Due to the nature of the business flexibility to working hours is required.
- Full driving licence is preffered as company vehicle is provided
