Student Planner

**ADVERT FOR STUDENT PLANNERS ONE YEAR PLACEMENT (TWO POSTS)**

Gateshead Council is looking to appoint two student planners on a one-year fixed term contract to support the delivery of it’s planning service. The post-holders will get the opportunity to undertake a range of planning work throughout the year in the Development Management Team or the Spatial Planning Team.

We need keen and ambitious students who are able to manage their own workload and help to improve our customer focus within a successful planning service. We are looking for people who are able to use their own initiative and take responsibility.

As a member of the Spatial Planning Team you will assist in the preparation of the Gateshead Local Plan and other planning documents. You must have good oral, written and communication skills. You should have a reasonable knowledge and experience of spatial planning practice, procedure and legislation. It is essential that you are computer literate.
