**Job description**

We are a friendly, close-working all-Wales marine team, providing specialist technical advice into casework and the sustainable management of marine protected areas. You will provide administrative and wider support to our advice officers and may lead on smaller pieces of work.

You will work closely with colleagues within and between teams and will have good communication skills. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who can work efficiently, often to tight deadlines, who is organised and who is able to take initiative. Whilst predominantly office/ home based, there is an opportunity to undertake fieldwork as we work closely with marine monitoring colleagues. You will have some knowledge or interest in marine conservation and related legislation.

**Knowledge and experience of the following**:
Knowledge of environmental impact assessment techniques and methods in particular within the marine environment

Knowledge of development planning and marine licensing processes

Able to communicate effectively with customers, explaining complex issues and gaining support by influencing

Able to analyse information and situations, solve problems and make sound judgements.

Able to write clear, concise documents

Able to work well as part of a team
