We pride ourselves on being a responsible and caring company and actively promote products that contain seafood from sustainable sources such as MSC-certified or, other internationally recognised sustainable fishing standards.

Reporting to the QA Manager. The primary responsibility is to maintain and develop quality systems throughout the factory operations, ensuring that the highest standards of product quality and service are maintained.

**Desirable Qualifications**

1) Good all-round education.

2) Experience in a similar role within a food manufacture environment advantageous.

3) Recognised qualifications such as HND in a food manufacture discipline.

4) Intermediate/Advanced Food Hygiene Certificate advantageous.

5) Introduction to HACCP advantageous.

6) Effective communication skills at all levels.

7) Self-motivated.

**Principal Responsibilities**

1) To assist the Technical department to ensure that up to date specifications and third party accreditation certificates are held on file.

2) To ensure product specifications and production paperwork are available for production personnel.

3) To monitor Product Quality and Product Attributes and advise Technical and Production Management if there is any deviation from specification.

4) To calibrate and record scales checks throughout the factory.

5) To monitor and record chiller and coldstore temperatures throughout the factory.

6) To calibrate and record thermometer readings

7) To monitor and record knives and blades throughout the factory.

8) To ensure on line checks and sampling are completed in a timely fashion, alongside completing production and pack-end paperwork.

9) To assist the Technical department as required in the organisation and sending of samples to external accredited laboratories.

10) To visually and organoleptically check and record mixes provided by the Process dept.

11) To cook and taste finished products, recording results and arrange daily taste panels.

12) To send packing labels to line at start-up.

13) To assist the Technical department to follow-up complaints to suppliers.

14) To monitor and record a glass and brittle materials register.

15) To issue and print labels from Bartender as required.

16) To monitor and record incoming raw materials and packaging

17) To issue and document plasters to personnel within the factory.

18) To generate and update paperwork as required.

19) To ensure and verify traceability systems within the factory to meet the product recall criteria of the crisis management system

20) To ensure that all products are manufactured in compliance with agreed specifications, thus reducing wastage by checking production practices against the manufacturing spec.

21) To ensure that all raw materials conform to agreed specifications.

22) To maintain production paperwork and ensure that it complies with the product specification.

23) To police the activities of all company employees to ensure that the Company Standards are consistently achieved.

24) To monitor the temperature of the chillers and coldstore in accordance with set procedures.

25) To ensure that Factory premises, plant, equipment and personnel hygiene are maintained at the highest standards.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £30,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
