Job Title: Crane Supervisor

Location: Biggleswade

**Salary**: £25 per hour

**Job Description**:
We are currently seeking an experienced Crane Supervisor to join a leading construction company on a project based in Biggleswade.

**Responsibilities**:

- Oversee and supervise crane operations on a construction sites in Biggleswade.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and best practices, promoting a safe working environment.
- Review lifting plans and ensure their adherence to applicable regulations and guidelines.
- Conduct pre-lift inspections to ensure the proper functioning and safety of cranes and lifting equipment.
- Provide clear instructions and guidance to crane operators and other team members involved in lifting activities.
- Collaborate closely with site managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to plan and coordinate crane operations effectively.
- Conduct regular safety briefings and toolbox talks related to crane operations.
- Monitor and enforce adherence to health and safety policies and procedures.
- Investigate and report any accidents, incidents, or near misses related to crane operations.
- Maintain accurate records of lifting activities, including logs, inspection reports, and certifications.
- Ensure proper maintenance and servicing of cranes and lifting equipment.

**Requirements**:

- Possess a valid CPCS (Construction Plant Competence Scheme) card or an NPORS (National Plant Operators Registration Scheme) card for crane supervision.
- Proven experience as a Crane Supervisor.
- Thorough knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices related to crane operations.
- Strong understanding of lifting plans, rigging, and safe working loads.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to provide clear instructions and guidance.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work well under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high safety standards.
- Physical fitness and the ability to work in various weather conditions.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or overtime as required.
