Working as part of the FM team who have responsibility for the safe operation and maintenance of the building and its equipment to ensure that these buildings are safe and that all equipment and devices operate efficiently.

Part of your job will be to check devices, structures and systems on a regular basis and identify needs for repairs and renovations. You will also coordinate with external vendors, such as Mechanical and Electrical contractors ensuring work is scheduled and completed.

To be successful in this role, you should be practical and well-organized and able to prioritize multiple issues.

Ultimately, you’ll help our colleagues, customers and guests get the most out of our facilities.

As a professional appointment we aim to have you enrolled on a SVQ level 3 apprenticeship in Facilities Management.

**Key activities within the role**
- Learn and follow the other member of the facilities management team.
- Ensure health and safety procedures are always adhered to within the building.
- Administration of permit to work process.
- Administration of the change request forms from a facility point of view.
- Updating of building fixed wiring diagrams & Test certificates
- Management and updating of the O&M manual.
- Day to Day Management of the various service & maintenance contracts.
- Overseeing general building maintenance and support services such as electrical, plumbing, cleaning, security, or Fire alarms.
- Ensuring the building and equipment function smoothly throughout their operational life - ie routine servicing of equipment, alarms etc.
- Inputting into the design stages of a project and identifying future operational & maintenance issues.

**Required Experience**:
As a entry level position we are looking for someone practical and well-organized and able to prioritize multiple issues who will undertake a SVQ level 3 apprenticeship in Facilities Management. And who has:

- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Good numeracy
- Ability to work within a team and ambition to learn
- Attention to detail.

**Desirable Experience**
- Evidence of practical experience/aptitude

**Desirable skills**:
1. Driving licence

**Education**:

- Experience & Enthusiasm are more important that education but we would expect some qualifications in Maths and English.

**Salary**: £15,000.00-£25,000.00 per year
