About the role;
The fleet operations contracts specialist role is an Operational role within the Fleet and Logistics function and will be responsible for supporting our fleet of assets and to manage the supply chain partners who play a key role within our division.
The requirement of this role is to manage / own several major fleet contract frameworks within the commercial function including but not limited to; LCV Contract leases, company cars, hired in vehicles, mobile plant, fuel, vehicle conversions and vehicle management & compliance software.

Key Requirements of the role;

Key requirements of the role include:

- Supporting the Head of Fleet & Logistics and the Network Fleet and Logistics Managers (COO Support Services) in providing a best-in-class fleet operations support service to internal customers.
- Supporting all post-contract operational & commercial matters including but not limited to ensuring that the core contractual principles are adhered to, performance management, negotiating/agreeing compensation events and other day to day administration/managerial requirements.
- Building and supporting the development of relationships with supply chain partners, whilst acting as a key point of contact for the business for matters associated with all incumbent fleet operations partners and their activities.
- Ensuring robust contract performance/reliability measures are in place via a suite of key performance indicators, management information packs and other associated data analysis.

Section 3 - Key Accountabilities
- Own the end-to-end vehicle supply journey ensuring all vehicles are processed and managed efficiently and to set KPIs / quality standards, whilst underpinned by great customer service from our supply chain.
- Own the end-to-end vehicle journey internally within cadent to employees/staff members
- Support the fleet team’s deliverables with a focus on achieving medium and long-term business strategy as set by the head of fleet & logistics (support services).
- Provide key data analysis on whole life cycling costing with a view to support business strategies and economic decisions
- Facilitate departmental daily priorities, work with key stakeholders including Heads of, COAMs and other business managers (where necessary) to ensure joined up thinking.
- Ensure that quality and customer service standards delivered by the supply chain partners are monitored and performance managed effectively.
- Lead, coach and continually develop team members of varied levels to drive ongoing service performance improvement and employee engagement
- Own all post award supply chain partner contractual relationships relating to fleet operations.
- Actively identify opportunities for improvement and manage the implementation of solutions for efficiency, performance, or customer experience improvements across the wider team.
- Create a data-led reporting environment providing true insight into fleet operations and management of all fleet assets via Fleet Check.
- Clearly communicate the objectives of the business to ensure the operational teams are aware and can support the delivery of these.
- Full collaboration and integration with the COO & Five (5) Network Directors.
- Generates timely weekly and monthly management information & operational reports by network that can be used for review of performance and KPI monitoring.
- Accountability for supporting the maintenance and operation of the supporting IS systems
- Significant experience and understanding of utility environment specifically around the management of fleet assets.
- Strong vehicle knowledge across car, LCV & HGV.
- Ambitious with the ability to translate visions into understandable strategic goals
- Ability to identify and encourage collaborative working across departments.
