As a Nursery Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the smooth operation of our nursery. You will work closely with our experienced team to ensure the well-being, safety, and education of the children. This is a hands-on role that requires a caring and patient individual with a genuine love for working with children.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide attentive care and supervision to children aged 0-5 years, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Assist in planning and implementing a diverse range of age-appropriate activities to stimulate learning and development.
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues, promoting effective communication and collaboration.
- Support mealtime routines, including serving meals and encouraging healthy eating habits.
- Create and maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for children, including regular health and safety checks.
- Help with diaper changing, toilet training, and personal hygiene routines.
- Observe and record children's progress, behavior, and development, sharing feedback with parents and colleagues as required.
- Provide emotional support and guidance to children, fostering their social and emotional development.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure a smooth transition between different activities and routines.
- Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Previous experience working with children in a nursery or similar setting is desirable but not essential.
- A relevant childcare qualification such as CACHE Level 2 or 3, NVQ in Early Years Care and Education, or equivalent would be advantageous.
- A genuine passion for working with children and a commitment to their well-being and development.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility, adaptability, and a positive attitude.
- Basic knowledge of child development and a willingness to learn and enhance your skills.
- A good understanding of health and safety regulations in a childcare setting.
- First Aid and Safeguarding training is desirable.
