We are currently looking for a Buyer to join our FMCG client. This is an excellent opportunity for successful individual to build on their buying & procurement knowledge and further their career with an international household name.

Key objective of this role is to deliver sustainable YOY productivity from the IT & Purchased Services spend base in the UK, with full responsibility for IT (Hardware, Software, Telecoms and IT Services) and Commercial Services (Temp & Perm POS) subcategories.Activities include:
**Role Responsibilities**
- Contribute to increase IT & Purchased Services purchasing coverage in UK to 80%+, through driving reach and influence with internal stakeholders, purchasing community and suppliers.
- Build category expertise and market intelligence for categories of responsibility
- Lead sourcing events at UK level for categories of responsibility including through e sourcing.
- Implement Supplier Relationship Management, evaluation processes and relevant KPI's covering quality/ service / innovation / sustainability / value for categories of responsibility
- Develop and share best practices via effective networking with IT & Purchased Services category leads in Europe and other local IT & Purchased Services Buyers
- Connect with CoE IT to generate additional opportunities and understand Global strategies to implement them accordingly
- Control and governance for categories under responsibility including full contractual compliance.
- Track, report and capture productivity value delivery in UK for categories of responsibility
- Deliver cash flow improvement

**Qualifications / Requirements**:

- A strong background in Indirects Purchasing within FMCG environment (3 years+)
- Ability to act autonomously, drive own agenda and take decisions.
- Sound knowledge of Indirects categories particularly for IT & Commercial categories
- Excellent business acumen, knowledge of financial fundamentals and analytical skills
- Excellent negotiation and influencing skills
- Ability to interact confidently with key stakeholders and build trust at all levels of the organization

**Other Information**

This a 6 month, temporary position. The role will be home based with occasional travel to Leicester
