Edinburgh, United Kingdom Change Grow Live Full time

Overview:
Making the decision to enter treatment can be an intimidating experience for the people we support. You can make a difference.

As a recovery support volunteer with Change Grow Live you’ll work with people who use our services, helping them get to where they want to be.

With this role you’ll be working as part of Edinburgh South East Recovery team, based in the south east recovery hub.

The team supports people with their drug and/or alcohol issues.

No two days are the same and we treat every person who comes into our service as an individual, so being flexible, curious and a good listener are key.

**Responsibilities**:
We will support you in this volunteering role by ensuring that you receive regular supervision, and have someone on site who you can approach for day-to-day advice and guidance. In return for the time you give you will receive valuable training and gain experience and skills. You’ll be making a real difference too. On a Wednesday morning we will have both mandatory and optional training sessions starting on 01/03/2023.This is what one of our service users had to say:

- _“I was supported to make personal decisions and choices around improving my own recovery, and I never felt like I was being judged. With my coordinators support I slowly built my confidence up, so I could get back into volunteering and felt like I was part of society and giving back to my community”._

Our values are to be compassionate, open and bold. If this sounds like you we’d love to hear from you so click apply.**Interview Date**:
