The Bridge Hotel near York, Harrogate and Leeds. The Bridge Hotel is located in a tranquil country setting in the heart of Yorkshire, yet it is only five minutes’ drive from the A1 and the motorway network and near to Wetherby race course.
Leeds/Bradford is just 8 miles away and York, Knaresborough and Harrogate are all within a short drive from The Bridge, one of the finest hotels in West Yorkshire. Well-known attractions such as Newby Hall, Fountains Abbey, Lightwater Valley, and the North Yorkshire Dales are easily accessible from the hotel.
The Bridge Hotel & Spa is a unique venue which has recently undergone a refurbishment programme with 37 bedrooms, wonderful conference & banqueting facilities and a very successful non-residential restaurant trade as well as a newly opened spa. Ideally placed in Wetherby we are located close to the historic city of York, the spa town of Harrogate and the commercial centre of Leeds.
We require an enthusiastic and motivated night porter to join our successful conference & event operations team.
**THIS IS A HANDS-ON ROLE SETTING UP FUNCTION ROOMS.**
- **THIS IS NOT A FRONT OFFICE/RECEPTION BASED POSITION.**
The night porters role is to oversee the hotel overnight and to refresh and reset our banqueting rooms, in preparation for the next days business - in line with our conference & banqueting standards. You will be working along side another night porter.
Generally midweek this will involve setting up the function rooms for conferences (such as boardroom or cabaret style)
On weekends you will be setting up for weddings or other social functions, including laying cutlery, moving tables and cleaning.
With over 100 weddings a year, the night porter is at the heart of the hotel operations team - ensuring the hotel is fully prepared to welcome guests each and every day.
This is a fantastic opportunity for the right individual wishing to develop their career within a busy event orientated hotel.
Full training and mentoring will be provided with this role.
