Lecturer in Philosophy

**Lecturer in Philosophy - 18-month post, full-time**

Situated within the Arts & Humanities Faculty, The Department of History, Politics and Philosophy brings together the expertise of over 50 academic staff. The Philosophy team has research strengths especially in European Philosophy, Medical Ethics and Metaethics, Education, Critical Social Theory and Philosophy of Biology.

Other responsibilities will include the assessment of student work, the supervision of undergraduate and postgraduate dissertations as well as acting as a personal tutor. They will also be expected to help support student community and to support a range of departmental activities including recruitment and admissions, and open days.
