**THE POSITION**

As a Maintenance Planner and Stores Coordinator at our manufacturing site in Pirbright, you will maximize the efficiency and effectiveness of the maintenance team using SAP and planning and scheduling techniques in the preparation of a weekly plan.

The role will also coordinate reactive work whilst minimising the impact on the weekly plan.

The role will need to liaise effectively with all customer groups to ensure that activities are perfectly coordinated with the operation, that customer needs are understood and ensure that potential health and safety risks caused by maintenance activity are reduced, and wherever possible eliminated.

The role is responsible for creating the annual site shutdown plan, to ensure that all works carried out by engineering projects, maintenance and operations are planned and executed efficiently.

The use of appropriate metrics is key to ensuring that engineering minimises reactive breakdown maintenance and transitions to a proactive and predictive operation. The performance of the team will be measured through KPI’s, generated, and proactively communicated by this role.

Part of the role is to manage and maintain the maintenance store, with the help of the maintenance team, and assist in sourcing parts and services needed to provide efficient maintenance and repairs. This will include 5S of the store, stock takes, inventory management and listing of stock ready to uplift onto SAP.

**REQUIREMENTS**
- Good understanding of SAP (or another CMMS) functionality and planning
- Good organization skills.
- Good IT skills with a variety of standard working platforms and technical documentation and trends
- A good motivation toward health and safety management and the principles and theories that underpin the area relevant to a regulated manufacturing and supply environment
- The ability to formulate and clearly articulate ideas, and present and implement compelling cases for change and investment
- A high degree of personal credibility and the willingness and capability to act as a challenge to the organization to ensure that on-going improvement is made
