We’ll invest in you, our expert team will be on hand to support you through growing your technical and personal skills, all while working towards a **Level 2 Horticultural Qualification** Exciting right?

**What will I be doing?**

As an Grounds Maintenance Gardener Apprentice, you’ll provide a first-class grounds maintenance service and associated works to our customer schemes and adjoining areas. Your hours of work will range between 7-5pm.

A day in the life might look a bit like this
- Working alongside a fab team of experienced environmental services professionals
- Using a range of heavy duty grounds maintenance machinery - from Honda HRH lawnmowers to a range of Stihl hedge trimmers, brush cutters, leaf blowers and hand tools - exciting right?
- Working alongside the team to site specifications and ensuring exceptional standards in a cut and collect grass cutting service, weeding and spray, shrub and flower bed maintenance, litter picking and reporting any tree works or repairs including fly tipping
- Community based duties such as minor repair/maintenance programs

**What you’ll bring to the role**
- GCSE Grace C/ Level 4 in English and Maths
- Enthusiasm for grounds maintenance
- A passion to learn, and grow your career in Horticulture
- Good practical skills with a methodical approach to work
- Driven and self-motivated
- Excellent teamwork skills
- Passionate about doing the right thing, not the easy thing
- Ability to manage own workload and meet deadlines

In return, we offer a salary of **£10,428.08** per annum for first 12 months (then progressing in line with National Minimum Wage in year 2) for 37 hours per week, 25 days annual leave (rising annually to 30 days) plus Bank Holidays.
