Barista

Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Barista/Supervisor to join our team. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of hot and cold beverages to our customers. Your attention to detail, excellent customer service skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment will contribute to the success of our coffee shop.

**Responsibilities**:

- Prepare and serve a wide range of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks
- Take customer orders and provide recommendations based on their preferences
- Operate coffee-making equipment such as espresso machines and grinders
- Ensure the quality and consistency of beverages by following recipes and proper brewing techniques
- Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including cleaning equipment, utensils, and counters
- Stock inventory and replenish supplies as needed
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and resolving any issues or complaints

**Experience**:

- Previous experience as a Barista or in a similar role is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Basic math skills for cash handling and inventory management
- Familiarity with food preparation techniques is a plus

Pay: £9.00-£12.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 - 50 per week

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Southwold: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
