**Accounts Payable Assistant BV Salary c£30k**

The Accounts Payable Assistant is responsible for providing financial and administrative services to ensure effective, efficient and accurate financial and administrative operations.

Reporting to the Accounts Payable Manager, responsible for providing financial, administrative, and clerical services. This includes processing and monitoring vendor payments, employee expenditures and providing support and services to the Regional Accountingdepartment.
- Keying all invoices into Oracle for BV
- Monitor Oracle Accounts Payable Ledger report
- Filing/Scanning/Statement Reconciliations
- Daily completion of Euro Currency Cashbook Entries
- Preparation of Payments via Oracle
- Statement Reconciliations
- Obtaining Authorizations for Invoices
- First Check on Bank Set ups /new vendors
- Month End GL Entries/Reconciliations
- Implementing Workday for travel expenses in the Netherlands and France
- Training employees on Workday for travel expenses
- Responsible for answering all AP audit related queries
- Calculation and posting accruals for outstanding invoices
- Vendor administration in Oracle

Accounts Payable support duties, such as preparing all payment runs which requires accuracy and meeting company criteria. Update Supplier details and banking information within the Oracle accounting system

**Key Competencies**:

- Knowledge of accounts payable and maintaining general ledgers
- Knowledge of accounts payable functions and procedures
- Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and processing information
- Entering financial information
- Ability to maintain confidentiality concerning financial transactions
- General understanding of accounting practices and principles
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Effective English writing and speaking skills
- Experience with ERP software (Oracle experience an advantage)
- Working knowledge of MS Suite, (Word, Excel and Outlook, Vlookup/Pivots)
- Time management skills
- AAT qualification as an advantage
